Coerver® Coaching, The World’s No 1 Soccer Skills Teaching Method & The Midland Junior Premier Football League are delighted to announce a pilot advanced level technical excellence coaching clinic for affiliated players.
“Our Technical Excellence clinic, working in partnership with the MJPFL, will provide a great opportunity for players to experience the latest training techniques from Coerver Coaching that are being utilised at Elite Pro level around the world.
By providing players with the opportunity to learn & develop within our new adidas star teaching model using the likes of Messi & Spain, it makes it easier for the players to understand what is required from them as they see the skill, speed & decision making levels that are needed for these guys to get success on the pitch at the top of the game.
The purpose of this coaching clinic will be to help the players develop their individual skills and then transfer these skills into full pressure game situations, we will then look at how these individual skills are transferred into team play which is the situation that the players will find themselves in, playing for their clubs at the weekend.
I am hopeful that this is the first step to a development partnership between Coerver Coaching and the MJPFL which I believe will be fundamental to the league’s long term development strategy for players and coaches alike. I see various strands of synergy between the MJPFL and ourselves and I believe by working closely together, we can provide many unique and exciting opportunities for the league’s members.
The MJPFL is the UK’s leading youth league and I have been impressed with both the professional approach to running the league and the player development plan that is taking shape. We are global leaders in our field and I believe the knowledge & experience that we can bring to the MJPFL can play a big part in the continued success and growth of the league and it’s members.”
Scott Wright – UK Director Coerver® Coaching
The full day coaching clinic will be split into 2 themed sessions using the new Coerver® Coaching/adidas® “Star Model” teaching programme:
Messi 1 v 1 – Individual Development*
The morning session will use the skills of World Player of the year Lionel Messi as the teaching model.
This session will take participants through all technical areas of Messi’s game and teach the effective use of these individual skills in full pressure situations.
Spain Fast Break Attack – Team Development*
The afternoon session will use European Champions Spain as the teaching model.
This session will take participants through Spain’s brand of quick attacking football and look to develop the individual skills worked on in the morning session within a team environment.
(All sessions will be delivered by UEFA qualified, Coerver® Coaching technical staff & have been designed for advanced level playing ability).
