Great work teams, keep it going The league has received a very complimentary email from a referee who was new to our competitions.
Mr Tony Rees refereed the Under 14 fixture between Stourport Swifts and Bolmere St Michaels, it was his first experience of our league and as you will be able to read below it was a very positive one.
Mr Rees wrote..."I was the referee today in the game between Stourport Swifts U14s v Boldmere St Michaels U14s.
I just wish to say that the hospitality and respect I was given by both teams was excellent,
and the standard of football was very good, much better in fact than many of the open age leagues in the county.
It was my first game in this league today and I look forward and hope to do many more.
Both sides are a credit to your league."
As you all know we as a league set out some very high standards to be worked to,
our prime objective is to enable football to be played within the best possible conditions
which are conducive to aiding development of the young players and where coaches
can operate in a professional manner.
It is very rewarding when we get feedback such as this,
well done to both sets of teams mentioned and all the other teams in our league who also strive
to meet our very high standards expected.
We have been contacted many times in the past by referees who expressed similar views to Mr Rees
so we know we are moving in the right direction. We will be creating a testimonial section on this
website for such communications, as it is important for everyone to realise just what a positive
impact you are having on youth football.
Please keep up the good work.
