Heath Hayes have been involved in all three of the Group 1 games to date. Their programme got off to a good start with a 4-0 victory away to Bolehall Swifts. Bolehall started strongly in the next game between them and took the lead from the spot but it was Heath Hayes who took control to win 2-1. Nuneaton Town were their next opponents and it was Heath Hayes again who were on top although the score was 1-1 when the teams turned round. Nuneaton started brighter in the second half and took the lead and held it until just five minutes were left and ended up losing to Heath Hayes' winner with just a minute to go.

Welbeck Wanderers took the game to MK Wanderers in the first match in Group 2 but found themselves denied by strong defending. Wanderers managed to score the first goal with just two minutes left of the first half then went on to score six more without reply, the seven goals coming from seven different players, to inflict a heavier defeat than was deserved on the balance of play. Welbeck fared better in the next game when they took the lead but were then reduced to ten men after a sending off. MK Wanderers then went ahead but Welbeck pulled one back for the game to finish 2-2 and not before an exciting end to end finale. Wanderers faced Romulus, playing their first game, next and lost 3-2 in another exciting game. Romulus took the lead three times before the game ended 3-2 in their favour with two goals from Scott Reynolds and the winner by David Takyi, Pius Ofori having scored a brace for MK Wanderers.

Group 3 is wide open with each team having won and lost at least one game. In their opening game Grantham Town beat Shirley Town 1-0 thanks to Eddie Bishop's 40th-minute goal. Shirley had periods where they dominated the game but couldn't find the goal they needed. The teams met again the following Saturday in another closely contested encounter which this time went Shirley's way thanks to a coolly taken penalty by Liam Gately. Stratford Town took the lead against Highgate United before the visitors went in front and then extended their lead to 4-2, with Ryan Shemwell grabbing three, before Stratford's Joss Holford got his second with a 40-yard lob for the game to finish 4-3. Highgate scored the next goal between the sides when they played each other again the following week but it was Stratford who ended up winning 5-2. It was the late show when Grantham and Highgate met. The first half was very tight and there were few goalscoring chances. Grantham opened the scoring on 65 minutes but the visitors were soon back level and then in front before a fightback which saw the home team finish 4-2 on top. The other game, marred by a sending-off of a Shirley player, had Stratford and Shirley sharing four goals.

Wednesfield have achieved three wins out of three in Group 4. The first was against RC Warwick where the visitors took a 1-0 first-half lead although the score might have been very different if more of the many chances for both sides had been converted. Wednesfield had the better of the second half and went on to record a 3-0 win. Wednesfield got off to a dream start when the sides next met with Mark Potts scoring after just twelve seconds. Within five minutes they had made it 2-0 with the first goal of Ashley Southall's three. Warwick played a full part in an entertaining game and played some great football but still ended up going down by 5-0, the other Wednesfield goal coming from Joshua Jones. Redditch United's 2-1 half-time lead might have been more but for a penalty save by Woodbourne's Adam Smith in a game which Redditch went on to win 5-2. Woodbourne did better the next time and the game could have gone either way but it was Redditch who were again winners, this time by a score of 2-1. Woodbourne and Warwick each have a point on the board from their meeting. Woodbourne controlled the first half and at the break were 2-0 ahead but it was Warwick's turn in the second period of a competitive game which ended 2-2. Wednesfield's third win came in a close game against Redditch which finished 2-1.

Honours were shared in Group 5 between Kidderminster Harriers and Tipton Town with Harriers winning the first match 2-0 and Tipton being 2-1 victors in the second. Bromsgrove One struck twice in five first-half minutes against Stroud. Stroud hit the bar twice but it was Bromsgrove again who scored the only other goal to secure a 3-0 win. The return was much closer although it was again Bromsgrove who picked up all the points in a game that finished 5-4 with a hat-trick for Bromsgrove's Will Hadley. Kidderminster went above Bromsgrove on goal difference after beating them 4-2. Stroud twice came from behind to level against Tipton in a 2-2 draw which gave them their first point.
